We stayed at Al Campanario for 5 nights while we were house hunting in Competa. The location is perfect, just steps from the main square. The B&B is beautifully restored, the rooms are large and well appointed. The breakfast had many options and we especially enjoyed the morning coffee.
Nathalia and Joachim are wonderful hosts! They went above and beyond to assist us during our visit. We definitely recommend a stay at Al Campanario when visiting Competa.

Al Campanario is a lovely place to stay. The room was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable and the hosts, Joachim and Natalia were really welcoming and helpful. It was my first stay here but it definitely won’t be my last. Highly recommend a stay at Al Campanario if you go to Competa.

A quick visit to Competa to progress a property purchase. Stayed at Al Campanario as it had great reviews. I can confirm that it is a comfortable, clean and is located close to the town square. Really enjoyed our brief stay and the hosts were fabulous. Really helpful and gave great advice about restaurants and places to visit. |The property is lovely, I think it is 200+ years old and the tiled stairs are beautiful. I would recommend this establishment if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Competa.

We stayed at Al Campanario for two nights. We know the house from previous trips to Competa but this was the first time we saw what Willy and Annemie had achieved. The house is full of character and retains many of its original features, in particular the antique floor tiles that were present throughout the house. The house is situated just round the corner from the main square in Competa and is handy for the local restaurants and the 16th Century church. Our room was very clean and spacious, with plenty of natural light. The bathroom was also very clean and well equipped. The bed was huge and comfortable and we were able to have a good night's sleep. Breakfast was very enjoyable and varied. We particularly liked Annemie's homemade cakes and biscuits. We enjoyed meeting the other guests at breakfast and chatting with our hosts about the local landmarks and activities. They were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We would recommend Al Campanario without hesitation.

Beautiful house in centre of Competa. We stayed for 3 nights. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious with plenty of choices served in cosy dining room where wood burning stove was lighting. Highly recommend & we plan to return

Great location right in the middle of a beautiful town. Felt very safe and quiet. We chose a small room, it was fine for 2 people to stay.
Only downside is that the toilet is in the room and doesn't have any door or privacy. So only stay with someone you know very well! The owners prepared us in advance for this, so we were expecting it and weren't surprised.

We were looking for a well appointed BB in Competa for a quick getaway in the mountains inland from Nerja. We stumbled on this lovely BB off the main square which was completed renovated with modern touches yet keeping the old world charm. The hosts are a lovely Belgium couple who obviously take pride in their work. We were in the loft which was spacious with vaulted ceilings since it was on the top floor. Shower and bathroom were spacious and well decorated. Room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was served in a quaint lounge off the main entrance. Eggs made to order and a small buffet of breads, cheese and meats. We met several of the guests at breakfast for a nice chat during our short stay. The town offers free covered parking approx 5 minute walk away. You can drive to the BB to check-in and if you’re lucky you can park in one of the 3 available public spots. We were not so lucky but happy to have a covered spot out of the sun. Wi-Fi worked very well throughout the BB…even on the rooftop terrace. We would surely think about staying here again.
