The webpage was not able to open successfully on the phone or ipad, I was only directed to the subscription page. But without viewing the website content, how can we know what China Institute offers thus subscribe?

I was invited to an event at China Institute for Mandarin learners. Pleasantly surprised with the tasteful, artistic pictures they had in their gallery.

China Institute is a great place to learn and explore Chinese art, history, language, music, culture, and people.

I have studied Mandarin in China. The people who work at China Institute were very warm, friendly and welcoming. They took us on a private tour of the gallery.

The entrance to the place is on Rector Street and not on Washington Street.
Parking is an issue, so plan to drive ahead of time. Subway is more convenient. As there is a train stop, just blocks away. It is close proximity to Wall Street and other places downtown.

The evening event had wonderful speakers, live music, good food and wine. They staff was very efficient in handling the crowd.

The tour of their gallery included the pictures of the 5 mountains in China. You can see some of them in my review.

Of course, we took a picture with some of the speakers and the China institute staff.

Definitely recommend China Institute. I am sure to go back again soon.

Current exhibit of foggy mountains ends in August 2019. Very serene b&w line drawings and photographs. Small collection. Space is clean, calm, and quiet. A few chairs, a coat closet, and bathrooms available. Bring photo ID.

I was the only attendee there in the photo landscape exhibit. I went through exhibit quickly and it was not memorable. Coat check is self service. Automated bathroom was hard to flush and took several tries. The only 2 people I saw were interns.
