My wife and I have just spent 3 nights in this perfect little old boutique hotel. Our hosts were fantastic, as we left, it was like saying goodbye to family. Alain is a fantastic chef, the food was glorious, our room was more a suite and utterly lovely. Stephanie was so attentive to our needs. We know the Ainsa area well and we were so happy with the village location for ease of access to our favourite walks with the peace and tranquillity of this old village a bonus. This was our best hotel stay in many years, thank you Alain et Stephanie. We will see you again...

Staying at Hotel Abadía Samitier was one of the highlights of our trip. The village of Samitier itself is tiny and peaceful, nestled in the beautiful Aragonese countryside — and the hotel fits right in, full of charm and character. The views alone are worth the visit!||What really made our stay special, though, were the hosts, Stéphanie and Alain. They’re just wonderful people — warm, welcoming, and so genuinely passionate about what they do. You can feel how much love and care they put into running the place, and it makes all the difference.||Alain is an incredible cook. Dinner here isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience — full of flavor, made with fresh, local ingredients, and served with heart. Every bite felt like a treat. Breakfast was just as lovely — fresh, generous, and beautifully done.||If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful place to relax and feel at home, this is it. We left feeling rested, inspired, and already dreaming about coming back.

We only stayed one night at Stephanie and Alan’s guest house, but honestly, we’re still talking about it like it was a five-star holiday! From the moment we stepped through the door, we felt like we were visiting old friends—the kind who have impeccable taste and fluffier towels than we do at home.

The house itself is spotless, super cozy, and full of thoughtful little touches that make you feel instantly cared for. But the real cherry on top? Alan cooked us a fantastic dinner! We weren’t just guests—we were spoiled. Seriously, if Alan ever opens a restaurant, we’ll be first in line.

Stephanie and Alan are the kind of hosts who make you feel like you belong from the get-go: warm, welcoming, and genuinely lovely humans. We only wish we’d booked more nights. Thank you both for such a memorable stay—we’ll absolutely be back (and next time, we’re coming hungry and staying longer)!

What am amazing place - a haven of tranquility - but more important than that - the hosts (Stephanie and Alain) did absolutely everything to ensure that our stay was as good as it could possibly be - and it was. A warm welcome, and fabulous cuisine.

We discovered this hotel by chance, after having visited the beautiful surrounding village. We were immediately caught by the charm of the place and the kindness of the hosts. This hotel is located in a old abbey which has been restored by the hosts with great talent. Then, we decided to cancel the hotel we had already booked to stay for two nights in this one. The suite we got was beautiful and very comfortable and the whole the place is very quiet. The dinners were excellent with the vegetables coming from their own garden. Finally I must highlight the exceptional kindness of the hosts who made our stay memorable.|

if you are considering coming to stay here for a trip to the spanish pyrenees, please do!||i stayed here for 2 nights, and wished i had extended. no words can express how beautiful this lovely place is, its situated on a hill and my morning view was the tops of the pyreness. food was excellent, views were stunning. you get some peace and quiet with nature. dont even doubt it for a moment as there arent alot of reviews here, its a well kept secret!

The Samitier Abbey is one of the most delicious hotels I ever been. Small, full of character, and unpretentious furniture faithful to its history. The traditional Spanish cuisine with family recipes is mastered by its owners Raquel Martínez and Arturo Gastón, also a gastronomic critic. ||I remember when they opened the door and candles were all over the 17th century stone building. The delicious rosé wine in flutes crystal glasses sitting in the charming garden while sunset. ||Next day we discovered that the Samitier Abbey had also incredible sites. We walked up the hill to found a hermitage, ruins of a castle and the amazing views of a reservoir. ||I would love to repeat the experience.

You will be hard put to find a better host than Jose Bazan, owner of casa rural Casa Abadia in the hamlet of Samitier. Our family enjoyed magnificent views, wonderful dinners and the warm attention of Jose. What a great place to come to rest. We definitely will return here.
