Just returned from a small break at this lovely hotel.||We had a suite which is a must and worth paying a little more. A very large room with a spacious bathroom and private terrace. The owners have designed the hotel with good taste, quality furnishing and done so in a way that is full of Moorish character. The bed was four poster, beautiful and very comfortable. ||||Staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive despite being run of their feet at times at dinner. We had both lunch and dinner in the restaurant. The menu for both is the same and was good value.||||Poor weather prevented us from wanting to use the pool but it looked gorgeous and the gardens around were beautiful. The whole hotel was very clean and well maintained.||||We were impressed by how easy it was to access from the motorway. A perfect 2 night escape (or more) from the city (45 min drive from Valencia) or a perfect stop over if traveling down through Spain on the A23. Also a great base for exploring the gorgeous countryside and towns to the north (we visited Teurel and Albarracín, the latter a must see).||||I would recommend for couples as well as families. Yes it is romantic but there were lots of well behaved children on our visit who were enjoying themselves too. We are looking forward to returning with our children maybe in winter to experience another feel to the hotel - they have large fireplaces as well as wood burning stoves in the bedrooms.

Standing on the hills of Valencia the hotel offers stunning view over the local landscape. The swimming pool is beautifully designed to be on the edge of the slope so you can literally dive into the view. Rooms have themes evolving from different, exotic cultures (from European point of view). That gives a nice, unique touch to the whole hotel, but in the other hand might be rather distracting with extraordinary furniture and art. Anyway, rooms were clean and roomy, but not all of them have shower curtains which is very unpractical if you wanna take a shower without moistening the whole bathroom. The rooms have free wifi and minibars (chargeable, of course). The breakfast is more like a Continental one than English, no warm dishes served. Still, we asked lactose-free diet and got excellently gathered assortment of lactose-free products, served very kindly. Service was friendly in every way. The restaurant serves excellent food for competitive, downright cheap price (keeping in mind that it's a restaurant). The local Vichy Catalan is also definitely worth of tasting! Even though the views are great the locations isn't too great if you're not a local and try to find your way to the house... But at least it's peaceful. And the history of the house has long roots.

We recently spent 10 days traveling around Spain and this was BY FAR the best place we stayed. I wish we had known how lovely it was so we could have spent more than one night. The room was so pretty and comfortable with a large and beautifully decorated bathroom. The rest of the inn was amazing. They did such a great job on this place. It felt like a real countryside villa. The owner made us feel right at home. We were there at an "off" time in the middle of the week and not in peak season. It didn't matter that we might have been their only guests... they called their cook in to make dinner for us. It was the most romantic dinner of my life and so unexpected. We had the whole place to ourselves, but the quality did not suffer at all. Nestled in the countryside, it is a real gem and I highly recommend spending a romantic getaway weekend at Masia Durba.

A super little hotel in a restored farm house which has been tastefully rebuilt. Very close to the motorway, for me I was back on the road next day and on to my next meeting. ||||However I felt fully refreshed. Lovely and quiet at night. Food was limited, but fine for a night or two. Suitable for couples, business stays or longer weekends and close enough drive to Valencia, Castellon region etc.||||There was even a pool - although I had no time to use it on this occasion - but tempting!||||The hotel is geared for weekend weddings so you may need to check when are booking. Its a small hotel so you wouldn't necessarily want to stay when there is a wedding on. Wifi was good despite being remote.||||My room - 16 was very clean, bed was very comfortable and matched that of any 4/5 star hotel.||||Even accept AMEX - great!||||I would stay again and most likely bring the family on a weekend trip sometime if in the region.|||| ]]

We upgraded ourselves to a suite which was enormous with a large sunken jaccussi. We loved the pool area too and the whole building and location was great. However, the menu was limited and never changed. The first day we waited over half an hour to even get a menu as there was one waiter for the whole full dining room. The next day we arrived as soon as it opened ! Such under staffing is unacceptable.To our surprise the menu was identical the whole time we were there (2 days) for evening or lunch. As the location is a bit remote and the setting is lovely they would be well advised to up their game on this side of things as we would not consider a stay of more than a night given this limitation. The breakfast was self service and with an extremely poor selection. On our last day we were not first into the dining room and found that the limited selection had not even been refeshed so there was no fruit left at all and a sad array of a few pieces of thin ham and cheese. For such a lovely looking establishment to have such a poor breakfast is a real shame. ||With better management ( more staff in dining room and a generally more professional attitude)) and a big improvement on the breakfasts and menu in general this could be a fabulous place. As it is we wont be returning despite the lovely room and pool.

Beautiful little boutique hotel. Stayed at the begining of July. Great surroundings, great views and fantastic pool. Staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. Room was stunning and very clean. Only downside was lack of variation in the dinner menu and breakfast was very simple but overall a fantastic location to relax. Thanks to Masia Durba and the staff.

This place really is stunning! Its in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by hills. The drive into the place is a single track road through various groves. The building itself is amazing, old stone, terracotta floor tiles, solid wood and glass, i loved it. ||The room we had was on the third floor (there is a lift) it was massive! 4 poster bed, log burner (obv redundent in aug) a lovely bathroom with double sinks and jacuzzi bath.||There is a brilliant infinity pool which over looks the groves and out to the hills, there are a number of good quality sun loungers with padding scattered about the grassed area adjacent to the pool.||We had dinner here as well, and i must say it was outstanding, we had the tuna salad and foie gras to start, both were delicious, for mains we had the baked cod and pork. I must say that the cod was the best cod dish i have ever eaten, and cooked to perfection.||So, If you want to get away from the hussle and bussle in beautifu surroundings and good food, then come here, you will not regret it.

We stayed here 21st September. ||We booked this hotel through tripadvisor while at a motorway services about a 100 miles away.||What a find, once you get there, it's close enough to the road for convenience but you wouldn't know it,feels like it's in the middle of no where. ||The position is wonderful. ||The rooms are excellent,the gardens and courtyard are lovely and the pool is amazing.||The evening meal in the restaurant was very good.(tip they do have an English version of the menu if you ask, and the waitress speaks good English.)||Breakfast was good but don't expect an early start, breakfast isn't served until 9.||
