We stumbled across this gem in Puerto Rico. It was awesome. The art gallery has prints, originals and bios for the amazing local artists. They offer shipping as well as packaging for your flight. We bought 3 pieces ( print, canvas framed and a water color). The salesman was friendly, caring and knew about the art fully. It was a special experience and we are so happy to bring home a taste of our trip to keep for years. We hope to return on our next trip.

A really nice hotel but be careful. The safe does not work and the staff(non room service) enter your room even though there is a do not disturb sign.

Seeing the first review being so bad, I decided I needed to put my complete opposite opinion in here.
The art in this gallery is nothing to the art spoken by the Canadian who owns it. Brought me to tears. Michel, who runs this shop does speak some French to you at times and he is very outspoken, the first review is correct. But if you're the type of person who is interested in having a real conversation with someone who speaks their mind, this is the place to go. As soon as my friend and I walked into the gallery, he said some outrageous things which brought me to sit down in front of him. He went on to tell (over the course of an hour) about his life experiences consisting of love and loss and how he is who he is today. He told stories about everything you can think of, and it was beautiful. It was one of my favorite parts of my whole trip to Puerto Rico because he made such an impact on my view of life.

Every time I come back to PR to visit, I'll definitely be making my stop in this little gallery.

A glaring disappointment among an otherwise divine trip to Puerto Rico. The art might have been nice, or it might have been sub-par, but who can tell? I couldn't get past the DISGRACEFUL customer service...truly an embarrassment to the island. It was one thing to be rude to me; after all, I'm as white and American as it gets, so maybe the rude little shopboy dismissed me as a "stupid tourist," and I really am okay with that. But treating my husband, my 4yo daughter, and my 84yo mother-in-law (who was born in this country before young Rude-y was a twinkle in his papi's trousers) like inferior citizens was truly repugnant. Reserve your hard-earned money for a gallery that understands that "boricua" comes in all shapes, sizes, and skin tones -- and more importantly, treats ALL potential customers with respect and dignity.

We are PR natives interested in our local art. My reason to write this review is the interaction I had with the art gallery host from Montreal

Briefly, here is what happened: I walked in with my mother, to admire the art work seen from the window. As we opened the door, we were greeted in the French language. In the little French I know, I politely answered. While exploring the gallery, I continued conversing with the host, who sat at his desk. I talked about being from Cabo Rojo, and about the host enjoying his time in Boquerón. At some point, he approached me and said: "I see you are talking to the art pieces and not me. In Montreal we have better manners." He then walked back to his desk while saying lots of things in French. I was confused with what just happened. We quickly left the gallery.

As you all read, my experience with this host was an unfortunate one. He was rude and did not make me feel welcome as a customer. Just because I did not stop to look at him in the eyes while we conversed, I feel is not an appropriate reason for his comment.

Puerto Rican art work deserves a host who cares about our culture, language and basic host-client interactions.

Beautiful selection and reasonable prices for the pieces. The shipping prices are a bit exorbitant, but the sales person there neatly rapped the package.
